Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision. You are looking for someone who "gets it"—someone who offers professional expertise without losing that essential human connection.
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor based in Bridgend, and my practice, Jasmine Counselling & Wellbeing, was born out of a passion for supporting people through life’s most difficult transitions. My background is rooted in the belief that every person has an innate capacity for growth, provided they have the right environment to flourish.
As a humanistic therapist, I don't see you as a "problem to be solved" or a diagnosis to be managed. Instead, I see you as a whole person. "Integrative" means I don't stick to just one way of working. I combine different therapeutic tools—such as Person-Centred, Gestalt, Existential Philosophy and CBT techniques—tailoring our sessions to what feels right for you in the moment.
One of the specialised areas of my practice is Sandtray Therapy. I have seen firsthand how transformative this creative approach can be for clients in South Wales. Sometimes, the "rational" brain gets in the way of healing. By using miniatures and symbols in a tray of sand, we can bypass those mental blocks and explore your unconscious world. It is a powerful way to "see" your life from the outside, often leading to "aha!" moments that talk therapy alone might miss.
Your safety and privacy are my top priorities. I am a fully qualified practitioner, registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I also maintain my professional development to ensure I am offering the most effective, evidence-based support possible.
I am fully insured and DBS checked.
I am happy to share any of my credentials.
