Having worked with people with health conditions for many years, I have helped individuals to recognise their personal barriers, and identify the options that are open to them. Whilst encouraging them to take positive steps forward, and empowering them to make changes to their lives. Over recent years mental health issues have become far more frequent, affecting both those that I work with and various friends and family members. Through these experiences I realised that I wanted to work with individuals at a deeper and more meaningful level, and so I began a personal journey which lead me to become a fully qualified professional counsellor.
I obtained my Counselling Certificate in 2013 and after completing further training, my Diploma in 2015-
Over the past few years I have worked with a variety of organisations who provide counselling including; Mind, the Adult Education College and Cruse, where I am a qualified Bereavement Counsellor and continue to offer my services on a voluntary basis.
I also made the decision to train as an Integrative counsellor. This means that I take various ideas and approaches from a variety of therapeutic models, and combine them in a way that suits the needs and requirements of each person. This ensures I can offer you the best possible support.
